Description

I will guide you on this excellent and adventurous half-day hike to Joffre Falls in the Karijini National Park, as we wind our way around a beautiful and lovely trail that takes in the raw nature of the Australian outback, finishing at the exquisite, mesmerizing and captivating natural amphitheatre that houses Joffre Falls.

Karijini National Park is located in the Pilbara region of the state of Western Australia, 1055km North of the state capital city of Perth, and is the second largest national park in the state. The park is known for its traditional outback scenery and abundance of flora and fauna, with native animals such as kangaroos, echidnas, goannas and geckos roaming the land.

Our journey begins on the slightly easier section of the trail, allowing us to ease our way in to hike. As we head further along the trail it becomes trickier, and we can see how the water in the area has changed the shape and formation of the landscape down the years.

The final part of the trail is the most difficult, as we will need to climb on and over slippery rocks, but the payoff is immense, as the falls then open up in front of us, truly taking the breath away.

The contrast of the red cliffs, blue sky, lush green vegetation and the waterfall itself creates an alluring and intoxicating blend of colours, and when standing at the bottom, the 50m high falls look positively gigantic.

After spending much time admiring the falls, we then head back to our starting point, where our trip finishes, thrilled at the jaw-dropping landscape, scenery and terrain we have witnessed.

Bearing witness to the Joffre Falls will take your breath away – book now to experience!

Thank you explore-share for a wonderful via feratta experience. We have been wanting to learn for a long time but don't have the facilities in Scotland. The guide Mitja was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, answering all my many questions and providing advice. On the day head to take another group but he quickly arranged another guide Borut, who was brilliant. We had a fantastic morning learning via ferrata at Hvadnik in the gorge. It gave us the confidence to later hire our own equipment and go out in Mojstrana. Altogether a five star + experience. Thank you.
