Join us for an unforgettable dry canyoning adventure in the majestic Verdon Gorge, one of the most stunning locations in France. Guided by Rémy, an IFMGA-certified mountain guide, you’ll have the opportunity to explore one of two incredible dry canyons: the Canyon of Mainmorte or the Vénascle Canyon. Both offer their own unique charm and challenges, with no wetsuit required!

Over the course of the day, you'll learn essential canyoning techniques, such as abseiling, walking, down climbing, and navigating fixed ropes, all while soaking in the breathtaking surroundings. These dry canyons remain passable year-round and are perfect for those seeking an adventurous alternative to aquatic canyoning. Your guide will ensure safety at every step, while also sharing insights into the geology, fauna, and flora of this magical region.

  • What’s Included:
  • Full guiding service from an experienced mountain guide.

Itinerary

Day 1: Canyon of Mainmorte or Vénsacle Canyon

Option 1: Canyon of Mainmorte (La Palud sur Verdon)

  • Duration: 5 hours
  • Activity: Begin with a 15-minute walk to the start of the canyon, where you'll encounter a mix of exciting canyoning techniques such as abseiling (5–25 meters), down climbing, and navigating small zip lines over deep basins. After descending the canyon, you’ll ascend via a via corda and rocky trail, finishing back at the starting point.
  • Highlights: Steep, dark canyon sections, thrilling abseils, and impressive views of the Verdon Gorge.

Option 2: Vénascle Canyon (Moustiers-Sainte-Marie)

  • Duration: 6 hours (5 hours with carpool)
  • Activity: The adventure starts with a descent into the canyon using abseiling, walking, and down climbing through narrow passages. As you progress, the canyon opens into a more expansive area, where larger abseils await. The descent ends at the confluence with Angouire Canyon, and you'll return to Moustiers via the botanical trail.
  • Highlights: Deep, narrow sections, spectacular views, and the botanical trail for a peaceful end to the adventure.
