Mountain Guide

My name is Andreas Biberger. I grew up in Mittenwald, in the district of Garmisch-Partenkirchen. Already as a child I was drawn to the mountains and spent a lot of time as a child on skis. At some point I started with rock climbing and everything developed gradually. After school, I first learned the profession of coach builder for cars and I also liked it a lot.

Again and again I also joined climbing courses at the local mountain school. Then I started a training to become a state-certified mountain and ski guide. I have always been passionate about endurance sports so I also tried other sports, such as triathlon, and participated in probably the most famous competition, the Ironman in Hawaii. Mountain biking is another big passion of mine.

I am a certified-IFMGA mountain guide, and for more than 20 years I have accompanied guests through the Alps several times a year. But I still like to travel in my homeland in the mountains and guide my guests to lesser-known but beautiful peaks.

What people are saying about BBS-Alpin

Ashley

Thomas was nice and took some great pictures of us. He was NOT the guide that I had been speaking with. The day before the trip the person I had been communicating with sent me a message saying that his friend was going to guide us, which felt a little weird. He was nice but not much of a guide. He didnt say much throughout the climb. I have prior experience and knowledge but We had a few inexperienced climbers with us. I was expecting a bit more instruction on climbing techniques and safety. I am a certified professional ski instructor. When I teach/guide I usually take a more active/interactive approach with clients on piest to ensure a safe, comfortable all around experience. Thomas was very nice and when asked a question gave good responses. Overall the trip was good and we all had a good time.

Andreas was an awesome guide. He provided harnesses and helmets. We went in may when there was still snow on the mountain. Some of the cables were buried; he was prepared with his own ropes. He was very confident and comfortable on the mountain which made me feel safer. If doing this, bring plenty of water, gloves, wear sunscreen, and bring food
