Description
This excursion is suitable for anyone interested in discovering the amazing glaciers of Valmalenco. We will hike to a lake that will allow us to admire the Fellaria Orientale glacier that flows into it and learn about the glaciological characteristics of the region.
We will meet in the morning at the Zoia refuge and from there, transfer by car to the barrier of the Alpe Gera lake. Once we arrive, we will begin to hike to the Bignami hut from where you can admire the Eastern Fellaria Glacier and the peaks of the Alta Valmalenco. There will be an optional coffee break, and then, we will continue on the large alpine pastures to the periglacial lake of Fellaria. Finally, we will return and enjoy different options depending on how everyone feels.
You don't need technical skills to join this hiking program. We will be hiking for several hours, so you should be fit enough to keep up, but it is not a demanding trek. You will be guided by a certified local guide who will share his extensive knowledge of the area with you and look out for your safety.

Thank you explore-share for a wonderful via feratta experience. We have been wanting to learn for a long time but don't have the facilities in Scotland.
