Description

Reykjadalur or the Steam Valley is a fascinating geothermal area in Iceland and a popular hiking route. It is just a 40-minute drive from Reykjavik, the capital city. Not only will you enjoy a great day hike but you can also dip into a natural warm river that runs along the valley!

The wild nature and unique landscapes of Iceland offer fantastic hiking possibilities. Our private tour to the Reykjadalur area offers an unforgettable experience.  You can relax quietly after the hike, surrounded by pristine nature. The tour will take us in total about 4 to 5 hours.

We will pick you up at your hotel or at the nearest bus stop to your accommodation and take you to the valley. Once we reach the trail starting point, only 40 minutes drive from Reykjavik we will start hiking along the hot spring area until we reach the river where you can enjoy a swim! Please note there is no dressing room nor showers, just pure nature for you to enjoy.

WHAT TO BRING: Good hiking boots- Clothes suitable for hiking and warm clothing- Swimsuit- Towel- Lunch or Snack- Camera (You can rent a GoPro camera from us for 6900 ISK).

Note: In winter time, during the darkest hours, some sightings might be missed.
