Description
Situated in the remote northeastern part of the Dominican Republic, Los Haitises National Park is home to some incredible kayaking opportunities!
The park is located on a limestone karst plateau and contains conical hills, sinkholes and mangrove forests; the perfect combination of surroundings for a kayaking adventure.
Starting from the small town of Sabana del Mar, we will rent our equipment (not included in the price) and head out into the park.
Over the course of our half day together, we will sample just a few of the ample kayaking opportunities that abound here, giving you an idea of what you'll want to come back and see next time!
From winding rivers surrounded by massive mangrove forests to sublime views out over San Lorenzo Bay, there is plenty of kayaking for all types of adventurers.
As we go, we'll also have the chance to see some of the awesome and unique wildlife that calls this place home. Keep your camera at the ready as we may see pelicans, owls and frigate birds, among many others.

Thank you explore-share for a wonderful via feratta experience. We have been wanting to learn for a long time but don't have the facilities in Scotland. The guide Mitja was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, answering all my many questions and providing advice. On the day head to take another group but he quickly arranged another guide Borut, who was brilliant. We had a fantastic morning learning via ferrata at Hvadnik in the gorge. It gave us the confidence to later hire our own equipment and go out in Mojstrana. Altogether a five star + experience. Thank you.
