Description

Strap on your snowshoes and head to Vermont for a stunning guided program around Lake Elmore! This day-long journey will immerse you in the one-of-a-kind beauty that defines the Stowe region and makes it such a fulfilling and fun experience!

Stowe has long cultivated its reputation as one of the premiere snow season destinations with its rugged peaks, awe-inspiring countryside, and world-class snow quality. Supporting its claim to the throne of first tier winter sports is the area around Lake Elmore. The lake itself is calm and part of the greater Elmore State Park, one of the most aesthetically dynamic regions in Vermont.

The lake is home to an abundance of flora that is just as captivating under a blanket of snow as it is in bloom. It provides a peaceful tour through the charming beauty that only the Green Mountains can provide. The lake is a serene location for the program, and you can look up to the surrounding peaks and through the meadows for a truly vibrant experience.

There are a few different loops, including flat, well-groomed terrain for those who want a simple trip. We do have options with a bit more climbing, accompanied by gorgeous views and a bit more scenery.

We will meet at the lake and begin our program from there, blazing our trail beside the lake. You will have a few hours dedicated to snowshoeing through the region. If you feel like adding another level to your trip, we can incorporate a dogsled tour into it, too!

The program is great for families who want to get active in the snow and see another side to Stowe. All levels are welcome, and we can design a program based on your needs and wishes. This is one of my favorite places in the United States to explore. I will ensure you have a safe, fun, and all-around wonderful journey through the wilderness of Vermont in winter. It is a pleasant tour that you will always remember.

Poor service from Explore-share! The vendor who provided the actual tour shared with Explore-share that heavy rains prevented them from doing a substantial section of the tour. I was not notified. The vendor also offered a substantial discount for what we were able to do and this was not shared with me either!

Neil was our guide and he was amazing! We did Camelback mountain climbing and he knew all about it and the other nearby mountains. Lots of great info and fun. I took my two boys, 9 and 11 years old plus climbed myself (44 years old). So perfect for all ages and skill levels. Definitely worth doing!!!

Guide was very experienced and very patient with us. We learned alot and he tried to fit in all the knowledge he could in one day, super awesome. A little tough going back and forth to get the trip set up hard to tell if the site is sketchy until you see reviews but all worked out. Ended up with an awesome day with an awesome guide. Overall pretty satisfied and thankful!
