Description

Join me on this great 6-day mountain bike tour around the Stelvio Pass (2757m), a mountain pass located in the Ortler Alps, between Val Venosta and Bormio. We will enjoy amazing descents, starting from over 3000m, with spectacular views!

The Stelvio Pass will be the starting point of our biking adventure. I will take you on a superb riding experience, on fantastic and long single tracks, like the well known Goldseetrail or Tibettrail, or to other unique hidden spots with breathtaking views.

On the first day, we will ride on our bikes the entire day, on single tracks. This will be a warm up day at the enduro trails near Reschenpass. In the evening we will shuttle up to the Stelvio Pass and settle in in our accommodation.

During the next five days we will enjoy unforgettable epic descents. If the weather is good, we will get five times above 3000 m and have at least two long single track descents every day. The tracks are quite diverse, ranging from smooth surfaces with no obstacles to rock terrain and tight switchbacks.

Please note although we use shuttles everyday, and they help us a lot, you must be able to do at least 1000 vertical meters with your own power. The trails have still to be earned by pushing, pedalling, and carrying your bike to the peaks above 3000 m, where the trail begins.

We do not need a shuttle in the morning, as we will be staying at the Tibet Hut, at 2700 m. This way we don’t waste the time in the morning in the shuttle and the days are more relaxed. Instead, we take a shuttle back in the evening when everyone is tired after a long ride.

Also, a good technique is often necessary and being able to ride switchbacks is the key to have a great time on this trip. The will to trial around a little and trying difficult sections would also be really helpful.

This trip is the perfect combination between enduro-trails and high hiking paths with spectacular views. So if you find this proposal tempting, send me a request! Book your trip and join me for 5 amazing days, riding incredible trails around the Stelvio Pass.

If you wish to come on a different date, just let me know, and we will try to set another date together.

About the guide

guide profile img

Born at the northern border of the alps I started hiking and skiing as a child, climbing as a teenager and everything else when I moved to Innsbruck for studying. The logical consequence of my life being bound to the mountains was becoming a mountain guide.

I always loved to be in the mountains, but what I oved even more is to do challenging sports there. I am specialized on skiing in winter and mountain biking in summer and fortunately there is still enough time to go climbing in between.

Two years ago I founded my own company named Flat Sucks Mountain Guiding, which offers guided trips at every time of the year. Summer bike, winter ski, 365 days downhill.
