Meeting point
We’ll begin in Sedro-Woolley with a gear review, trip briefing, and any final preparations before heading to the trailhead.
From there, we’ll hike into our base camp. After setting up camp, we’ll focus on essential snow techniques, including ice axe use, basic footwork, and camp routines to get ready for the climb ahead.
Before sunrise, we’ll begin our alpine start to summit Mount Baker (10,781 ft), ascending via either the Easton or Squak Glacier. Traveling as a rope team, you’ll put your snow travel skills into action while witnessing a spectacular North Cascades sunrise.
After reaching the summit and celebrating, we’ll make our way back to camp for a well-deserved rest.
We’ll enjoy a slower-paced morning before breaking down camp and hiking out to the trailhead. To finish the adventure, we’ll gather in town for a celebratory meal—reflecting on your summit, what you’ve learned, and what goals lie ahead.
