Futaleufu Rafting in the Chilean Patagonia

The Futaleufu River, which is namesake to the town in the Chilean Patagonia, is famous for its whitewater rafting options. This beautiful turquoise river that flows beneath snow-capped mountains and glaciers is an awe-inspiring place to practice this thrilling activity, regardless of your level and experience.

On these whitewater adventures, we will start with a safety talk and a lesson in paddling and river rescue. Then we will set off to one of three different options, depending on the level of difficulty.

Bridge to Bridge Section – Class III & IV+ (8 km)

“Puente Colgante”, “Alfombra Mágica”, Pillow, and “Mundaca” are some of the rapids we will have the chance to experience on this classic Futaleufu stretch for rafting. This popular option is open to all participants, even those with no previous experience and will allow us to enjoy 4.5 hours of whitewater adventure!

Azul River to Bridge Section – Class III, IV, & V (14 km)

“Terminator” and “Himalayas” are some of the class V rapids included in this program, and their name says it all. This program is ideal for those that want to add a little more adrenaline to their whitewater experience and will let us enjoy the rush of the river for approximately 6 hours.

Full-Day Rafting – Azul River to Macal Section – Class IV, V (20 km)

A seven-hour run with lunch in the middle will take us to the class V “Macal” section. Four class V rapids and a dozen class IV runs are part of this program that will take us to the most beautiful spots in the region. In order to join this program, you will need to have prior rafting experience, or have joined one of our other programs.
