There are a number of amazing rock climbing locations you can enjoy in South Africa. And, during this trip, which can last for one or more days, we would like to take you to the Drakensberg Mountains.
The Drakensberg Mountains are an iconic collection of peaks in South Africa, most of which exceed 3,300 meters in height! Enormous and stunning, there is an abundance of great peaks and cliffs any serious rock climber can scale.
While the climbing in the Drakensberg range is incredible, the views you will get to enjoy, especially the higher you go, are equally amazing. Hence, making the challenges you may encounter during your climbing extremely worth it.
There are many different routes to choose from during this trip. Those routes include the Devil’s Tooth, Monk’s Cowl, Mponjwana Standard and The Bell. You can also enjoy routes on the Seminal Peak, which will enable you to abseil back down.
Rock climbing in an area as expansive and gorgeous as the Drakensberg Mountains in South Africa is an experience you will never forget. And, with so many routes to choose from you can rest assured that we will find the perfect routes for you, based on your skill level and personal preferences.

Thank you explore-share for a wonderful via feratta experience. We have been wanting to learn for a long time but don't have the facilities in Scotland. The guide Mitja was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, answering all my many questions and providing advice. On the day head to take another group but he quickly arranged another guide Borut, who was brilliant. We had a fantastic morning learning via ferrata at Hvadnik in the gorge. It gave us the confidence to later hire our own equipment and go out in Mojstrana. Altogether a five star + experience. Thank you.
