Plenty of incredible spots for rock climbing in the UK are awaiting to be explored on this 2-day adventure!
Over the course of our time together, we will work on "seconding" a lead climber on "traditionally placed" protection.
The United Kingdom, especially England, is the perfect place for us to work on these important climbing techniques, as well as many others.
Ranging from Harrison's Rock in Sussex to the gritstone crags of the Peak district and the cliffs of the Wye Valley, there are plenty of excellent places to head and it's up to you to decide!
We will enjoy phenomenal views of the stunning English countryside wherever we go and have plenty of different climbing options from which to choose.
Based on your abilities and preferences, our guide will find the perfect routes for you to climb.
Both days of the trip will specifically be spent improving your techniques and skills. The low guest to guide ratio – 3:1 – will enable the guide to spend plenty of one-on-one time with you, improving existing skills and teaching new ones.
Among the things we will learn and go over are the following:
Belaying a lead climber using single and double ropes
Lead racks (removal of nuts, hex's, cams, etc.)
Rope techniques
Equipment selection
Climbing technique
Climbing etiquette
Self protected abseiling
Using guide books and route selection

Hatt Adventures was created in 2005 by Tom Hatt, an experienced and highly certified instructor who loves lots of different types of sports. We started as a small team and, over the years, became one of the main outdoor adventure providers for England and Scotland.
Every member of our team is highly qualified and our courses and experiences have gained an excellent reputation. We are passionate about what we do and love teaching and helping people try new sports and activities while having fun.
In 2007, we began providing television and film safety cover under ‘Hatt Safety’. As part of this project, we worked with several high profile customers and artists. In 2015, Tom became a member of the British Stunt Register and started working on TV and Films as a stuntman.

Thank you explore-share for a wonderful via feratta experience. We have been wanting to learn for a long time but don't have the facilities in Scotland. The guide Mitja was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, answering all my many questions and providing advice. On the day head to take another group but he quickly arranged another guide Borut, who was brilliant. We had a fantastic morning learning via ferrata at Hvadnik in the gorge. It gave us the confidence to later hire our own equipment and go out in Mojstrana. Altogether a five star + experience. Thank you.
