Let me invite you to the icefalls of Schladming and enjoy a 3-day training. A perfect opportunity for those who want to venture into ice climbing as well as those looking to improve their skills and gain more autonomy.

Ice climbing is a fascinating sport in which skills, strength and adventure come together. The valleys around Schladming offer many waterfalls for all level of climbers, from easy to difficult ones.

During this 3-day ice climbing course in Schladming you will learn:

  • The basics of top rope climbing;
  • How to set the first ice screws;
  • The handling of technical equipment.

In addition to the climbing and safety techniques I’ll also focus on abseiling. It will be practiced several times during the course. Finally, you won’t go back home without learning how to detect avalanche catchment areas. As you can see it will be a really intensive course!

All this technical content will be put into practice on the frozen waterfalls of Schladming. You’ll count on my help and constant supervision. That way it will be a really enriching experience for you.

Regarding the accommodation, we will rest, have dinner and sleep at Fam Rettensteiner, in our 2 apartments or in a mountain hostel of the region.
