Would you like to try a special via ferrata in Pucón, Chile? Then let us take you to El Cerduo!
Pucón, a town in southern Chile, is a perfect destination for outdoor adventures. At the foot of Villarrica volcano, beside the Villarrica Lake, it offers easy access to stunning climbing, hiking and water sports areas.
On this day outing, we will visit the beautiful Cerduo Valley, just 40 minutes from Pucón, for a thrilling via ferrata experience. The route, Mawida, was built by our own guides and mixes trekking and climbing. The climbing section consists of a series of metal steps embedded on the rock, which will take us up 300 meters. We will be hooked to a steel lifeline to guarantee a safe ascent.
Upon these rocks we will enjoy panoramic views of the Villarrica Volcano and the entire Caburgua Valley. Furthermore, it is very likely that we will see condors! On the way back, we can relax with a refreshing bath in one of the forest’s beautiful waterfalls.
The route is open from October 20 to May 20 approximately, depending on the snow conditions. Please keep in mind that this adventure requires a good fitness level, and that children must be 10 years or older in order to join.
