On this half-day trip, we will explore awesome volcanic terrain with vestiges of past eruptions and enter the fabulous caves of Villarrica Volcano. The stunning hiking route includes a section within a lava tube!

Itinerary

Day 1: Trekking around the volcanic caves on Villarrica

Meeting in Pucón. 10km-drive to the base of the Villarrica Volcano.

Short trek to see lahars, lava runs, and large beaches of sand and volcanic lapilli.

Transfer to the Craters Path.

600-m hike to the lahars of the 2015 eruption.

450-m hike on a lava tube route to the volcanic caves.
