  • Balanced pace for a meaningful trip — big touring days, hot-spring evenings, and time to soak in the scenery.

Description

Come join us on a ski touring escape to Patagonia, starting in the wild granite foothills of Cerro Castillo National Park!

Together we'll explore the magic of Chile’s wild south with remote backcountry lines, big vertical days, and the raw, powerful landscapes.

Then we'll move south to volcano country, where white cones rise above green forest and deep-blue lakes. From our base at the soothing Termas Aguas Calientes you’ll access a beautiful variety of volcanic ski terrain — and on clear days the summit views can even reach the Pacific Ocean.

Expect up to 1,500 meters of vertical gain on bigger days (not daily), with 7–8 hours of total touring time. We’ll ski off-piste terrain up to around 35°, with varied snow conditions typical of Patagonia and the Chilean Andes.

The trip is paced for a meaningful nature experience: full days of touring, relaxed evenings to recharge (and soak), and skilled local guides to show you the best lines safely.

If you’re a ski-touring enthusiast ready for big scenery and true backcountry adventure, join us — spots are limited, so reserve your place today!

Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival: Balmaceda Airport → Villa Cerro Castillo

Arrival in Balmaceda, from there we will board our vehicle and drive to the village of Villa Cerro Castillo at the foot of the mountain of the same name.

Day 2 to 6: Ski touring around Villa Cerro Castillo.

This area has become the most versatile touring spot in Patagonia. Tours in Mountain massifs of Cerro Castillo and Cordillera sin Nombre are mainly our goals during these 5 days. Daily ascents of approximately 1000-1500m In addition to touring we get to know a bit of the patagonian lifestyle and have at least once asado.

Day 7: Fly to Puerto Montt - Termas Aguas Calientes

We drive back to Balmaceda where we take a flight to Puerto Mont. After landing we drive to Termas Aguas Calientes, hot springs in a forest where we stay the next few days.

Day 8 to 11: Volcano Ski Touring

- Volcan Casablanca at Antillanca ski resort. As a volcano it is small but skiing is beautiful there. - Volcan Puyehue: hike through the jungle to reach the white slopes of this volcano with its huge skiable crater. A long day or we stay a night in a simple refuge on our way up.

Day 12: Puerto Varas Relaxation & Optional Skiing

We drive to Puerto Varas where we stay our last night of the trip in a Hotel. This day can also be a skiing day if it fits in our plan.

Day 13: Departure from Puerto Montt Airport

Patagonia’s weather is highly unpredictable, so the itinerary may be adjusted according to conditions.
