Come enjoy the amazing Tatras mountains with this snowshoeing day tours in the company of the UIMLA-certified Mountain Leader Helena.
This Zakopane guided snowshoeing day tour is a different and fun way to enjoy the snowed mountains of Poland.
Snowshoeing is an tremendously fun activity that allows you to hike through the mountains and see them from a different perspective. It was our ancestors way of moving around, and although it has lost popularity comparing to other winter activities, like skiing, it is worthwhile to try it.
And the Zakopane area is the perfect location to do it due to its great beauty!
So we’ll start our trip in Witow, a small and cozy ski resort were we can visit an old wooden church that will make you feel like you’re in the beginning of the 20th century.
Then we’ll follow the shepherd paths through the forests and up to the Magura Spiska, at 1232 meters. We’ll then follow the border between Poland and Slovakia and descend through the Slovak Valley all the way down to a place with hot springs. Then we’ll relax there for the rest of the afternoon!
Sounds like an amazing plan? It is! Send me a request now and we’ll start planning this fun snowshoeing expedition for you!

Really great experience doing a snowshoe hike in the Tatra mountains - I was fortunate enough to have sunny weather after a few days of light snow so conditions were amazing. I just did it on my own and Helena was super accommodating and made small changes to the route on the fly to make things more interesting. To be clear if you book this experience you are booking a professional mountain guide so the route they take you on can easily be adjusted to your group requirements and where to go for best conditions . Helena was extremely knowledgeable of the area - both in terms of her knowledge of the local trail networks and in chatting to me about the history, culture and geography of the Tatra mountains as we progressed along the hike. The route we went on was about 400m elevation (which I was comfortable doing) and the view from the summit was incredible. Would definitely recommend the experience if you want a great way to explore and view the Tatra mountains
We really liked snowshoeing. Guide was wonderful, snowshoeing wasn’t easy but view was amazing. I really recommend that’s experience!
Helena was a super personal guide for the tour. She aligned the trip to our wish (e.g. starting time, finishing nearby the thermal pool) and made a wonderful day for us. Guiding just the two of us made the whole trip very personal and flexilbe which we recommend for others as well. Thank you.
Absolutely amazing experiance with very friendly and knowledgeable guide.
thanks my trip was great - Helena is a great guide and we had a lot of fun together, she told me a lot about the culture and nature of Zakopane :) thanks for organizing everything for me. Best, Lisa
Helena was an awesome guide, making every effort to make sure it was a good experience! She rented all the equipment and even picked me up from my hostel! She has a lot of experience with mountain sports, as well as great knowledge of the area. While we were driving to the Tatras, she gave a short driving tour of Zakopane, explaining some of the architecture and history. We snowshoed for about 4 hours on a BEAUTIFUL day. She really enriched the experience with her knowledge of the ecology!
