Situated in eastern Africa, sandwiched between the rainforest of the Democratic Republic of the Congo and the high plateau of Kenya, Uganda is a veritable paradise for all types of outdoor adventures. Other popular hiking destinations are Murchison Falls National Park, in the west of the country on the shores of Lake Albert, and Mount Elgon National Park, on the country’s eastern border with Kenya. Kayaking on the various lakes of Uganda is also a scenic way to see the country from a different perspective and cool off on a hot day
