The Cayman Islands consists of three separate islands (Grand Cayman, Cayman Brac, and Little Cayman) in the western part of the Caribbean Sea. They are located directly south of Cuba. The capital of the islands is George Town, with a population of approximately 35,000. Geographically, the Cayman Islands are peaks of an underground mountain range that is called the Cayman Ridge.
As part of the Caribbean Sea, the islands receive a tropical climate, with a dry and wet season, with little change in temperature all year round.
