Je suis accompagnateur en montagne UIMLA et guide touristique national (pour les programmes de patrimoine culturel et historique).
Je suis né à Poprad en 1969. Dès ma petite enfance, je regardais souvent par la fenêtre de ma chambre au loin les pittoresques Hautes Tatras, qui me fascinaient déjà à l'époque. Au lycée, j'ai commencé à participer avec mes amis à une petite "expédition" d'escalade sur les rochers environnants, et plus tard aux Hautes Tatras. La plupart du temps, j'y allais avec un ami dont le père était membre du service de secours en montagne. Pendant mes études à l'université Comenius de Bratislava, j'aimais revenir à la montagne.
En 1999, j'ai commencé à travailler activement comme secouriste bénévole du Service de secours en montagne des Tatras, puis j'y ai été embauché.
C'est précisément en raison de ma relation avec les montagnes que j'ai commencé à travailler comme guide touristique, en mettant l'accent sur les zones de montagne.
Depuis 1998, j'accompagne des touristes du monde entier dans les montagnes et les villes environnantes.
En 2011, j'ai obtenu la certification d'accompagnateur en montagne.
En outre, je travaille en tant que membre du Conseil de l'Association slovaque des accompagnateurs en montagne depuis sa création en 2011.

The best trip of our lives! It was our first time on a Via Ferrata and we couldn’t have asked for a better guide than Marcel. First of all, we felt completely safe, and second, we spent a wonderful day with an amazing person with whom we could freely talk in our native language (we highly recommend him to all Poles looking for a mountain guide!). On top of that, for the very first time we have beautiful photos together from such an adventure — Marcel made sure we had this keepsake by taking those incredible shots himself! Truly a priceless experience, and without a doubt, when we want to come back and try something new, we’ll reach out to Marcel again to share another mountain adventure.

Great host with very good communication (perfect spoken English and arrangements/tips) around the trip) . Takes care of you as a solo (tourist) hiker.

Successful, safe and educational hike up and down Mt Rysy from Slovakian side. Provided detailed information on plants, rocks, animals and history of Slovakia. Adjusted pace but kept it challenging. Very good English.

Unfortunately marcel had to cancel at last minute but he arranged a new guide for me Andrea salonova.She was absolutely fantastic exelent knowledge of the area and it's history she was great company I had a great day on the mountain I felt extremely safe everything went smoothly from pick up to drop off I would highly recommend her.
