Je vis à El Chaltén depuis 1998. Je suis originaire de Bariloche et j'ai commencé les activités de montagne à l'âge de 15 ans. J'ai fait de l'escalade et des ascensions dans de nombreuses montagnes de Patagonie, du Pérou, de Bolivie, des États-Unis et d'Europe, comme le Fitz Roy, le Cerro Torre, l'Alpamayo, El Capitán, le Mont Blanc et l'Aconcagua, entre autres. Je suis également moniteur de ski et je suis passionné par le ski de randonnée.

Je parle couramment anglais, italien et français et je dirige des programmes et des expéditions depuis plus de 20 ans. Je travaille avec un groupe de guides, donc si je ne suis pas disponible pour le programme que vous demandez, un de mes collègues vous guidera !

Pedro was an absolutely amazing guide - our hike would not have been nearly as good without him. We also were able to hike halfway with Hachi, a local celebrity dog who keeps sneaking into the park, because he helped the camp ranger take him down. Definitely a highlight that’ll we always remember! Highly recommend!5

Merlin is the top climbing guide in Chalten. Anything from simple sport climbing to hard multi pitches. I did a sport day with my brother and our girlfriends. We went to two different crags in Chalten, and climbed 10 routes, fun for the whole family. I got to lead climb and had my girlfriend belay me for the first time. Thanks Merlin and Martin! I want to return to climb Guillaumet with Merlin!5

After a few headaches in the beginning (the national park had been closed, but has recently been opened again), we had a great experience and a wonderful tour with Merlin and Mountaineering Patagonia! Merlin offered us great flexibility and patience and a week later the perfect weather arrived for our mountain adventure.
