Je suis guide de montagne UIAGM, moniteur de ski et professeur de sport et l'actuel président de l'Association slovène des guides de montagne.

Je suis toujours le seul guide qui peut gagner sa vie en travaillant exclusivement en Slovénie. J'escalade le Triglav plus de 25 fois par an, ce qui signifie que j'ai gravi le sommet le plus célèbre de mon pays plus de 200 fois.

Si vous voulez faire de l'escalade ou du ski dans les montagnes slovènes, je suis le bon choix. Je guide la via ferrata, l'escalade, l'escalade de neige, l'escalade de glace, les randonnées, l'héliski, le ski freeride et le ski de randonnée.

Not an easy hike by any means with elevation gains of a tad over 2,000 metres over a distance of c.10km in a day, if heading up all the way to the peak on first day itself. That was what we did due to weather conditions. But the guides were vigilant and helpful, hence no issues for our group. Highly recommended friendly & responsible guides for those wanting and willing to torture their glutes and calves and quads etc etc...5

I had the most amazing experience being guided to the summit of Mount Triglav by Rok, one of Mitja Sorn’s team. I had visited Triglav in my twenties and always sworn I’d return, so this was a very special moment for me. We couldn’t have been in more capable hands, and the group dynamic was second to none. A truly memorable experience that I couldn’t recommend highly enough.5

He was also super accommodating when some of our baggage didn’t arrive and we wanted to change days to allow us to get the bags before the climb. Mitja was a terrific guide and kept us entertained throughout the climb. We also had Janus, and though he was much quieter, he was very knowledgeable and certainly qualified in First Aid and Mountain Emergencies (thankfully non of that was needed!). All in all, a really great experience and one we'll talk about for many years.

Tough trip physically but what an amazing journey. Our guide Mitja got in touch so I could join an existing group otherwise I wouldn’t have been able to do the climb and I’m so glad he did. For what looks quite extreme it felt completely safe throughout with our two guides Mitja and Matej planning around the conditions and leading us expertly. Would recommend to anyone comfortable with long hikes and heights.

I had an absolutely incredible experience climbing Mount Triglav, and I couldn’t have asked for a better guide! My guide was knowledgeable, patient, encouraging, and clearly very experienced in the mountains. He made the entire experience enjoyable while still making safety the priority. Reaching the summit at sunrise was truly unforgettable and easily one of the highlights of my entire trip to Slovenia. I’m so grateful I had such a great guide to share the experience with. I would absolutely recommend him to anyone wanting to climb Triglav. An amazing experience that I will never forget!
