Je suis un guide de montagne certifié IFMGA et je suis passionné par la nature. Je suis né en 1977 et avant d'entrer dans la vie de la montagne, j'ai travaillé comme enseignant à Borg Lienz.

J'ai commencé à me former en tant que guide de canyoning il y a 15 ans. Depuis 2009, je me suis également formé auprès d'accompagnateurs de canyoning en Carinthie. En outre, j'ai été sur la route en tant que moniteur de montagne et de ski. Pendant les étés, j'ai beaucoup guidé en Suisse, où j'ai emmené mes hôtes dans de nombreuses montagnes de plus de 4000 mètres d'altitude. Ma "devise" en montagne et dans la vie a toujours été la même : "Ne jamais cesser d'explorer".

Je travaille maintenant pour Carnicoalpin, où notre objectif principal est de vous guider et de vous accompagner sur des montagnes escarpées et de grandes pistes de ski, en mettant l'accent sur la sécurité.

I have wanted to climb the Matterhorn for a few years now. After exhaustive research I opted to go with Explore - Share. The booking process was easy and straight forward. They answered emails swiftly and appointed me a guide - Tobias.
Tobias was in touch the same day and introduced himself and we kept in contact leading up to my date. Tobias send me a kit list to ensure I had what I needed with other recommendations along the way.
We met at the Hornlihut the day before the climb. He briefed me on timings, route, safety precaution’s. After an equipment check it was time for some forced rest before and early start the following morning.
All I can say is that Tobias is an absolute mountain legend! His knowledge, expertise, strength and work ethic are unmatchable. I could not recommend Tobias enough to anyone.

The climb with Tobias was great! Amazing guy with a lot of experience and very friendly.

Tobias is the perfect Matterhorn guide - he knows every single rock on the Hörnligrat and has summited the Matterhorn 127 times. He trained me up for a few days beforehand, and we quickly made the ascent. He made mature and safe decisions, and seemed to be respected by the other guides and Hornlihutte managers.

All that was expected and more. Tobias (my guide) is a professional and earned my trust from the beginning. He was very helpful in the preparation and planning for the trip answering all questions leading up to the climb. Tobias gave insightful information on how to train beforehand and acclimatize upon arrival in Zermatt. This paid dividends as it set me up for success the day of the Matterhorn ascent. I felt safe throughout the entire 7-hour experience and am thankful to have been set up with such an outstanding steward of the profession. Would strongly recommend this trip and getting linked in with Tobias if your goal is to climb the Matterhorn.
