Why should I choose Andorra for my Hiking adventure?
Culture and wildlife
This location is characterized by a rare wildlife that includes chamois, roe deer, wild boars and foxes. Furthermore, the Madriu offers a perspective of how local inhabitants have used their natural resources for over 700 years: dwellings, field terraces, tracks, and ironwork remains.
Scenery accessible to all
There are many hiking tours with no technical difficulty. You must try the GR-7 itinerary, which runs throughout the valley, or the GR-11, which starts at 1600 meters high towards Lake l'Illa. Finally, the incredible GRP ('great tour of the country') begins in the highest part of the valley parallel to the GR-7 and ends in the glacier circle.

About 6 km away, you will find the hot springs that are specially perfect due to their sulfur and mineral rich properties. The tour hour was short for half day. We had expected longer one, though. So, maybe you should indicate 2.5 hours in your information. However, we really enjoyed the tour, and the tour guide Jordi was really nice person. He knows well about the mountain & the nature in Madriu valley. He taught us a lot of things. Thank you very much!!
