Situated on the eastern shore of the picturesque island of Mallorca, the Cova de Coloms is an incredible cave just waiting to be explored.

After meeting up in the idyllic seaside village of Cala Romàntica, we will head down to the seashore and coast to the south of Cala Falcó, where we will have the option of spending some time enjoying the white sand beaches.

Once we have arrived in the cove, we will get our gear on and begin exploring.

The next several hours will be spent rappelling down to the mouth of the cove, at sea level (which is optional). We then go through the cave, exploring it on foot as well as swimming (but not underwater). By the end of the trip, we will have made a small circuit of the cave.

After leaving the cave, we will swim for about 200 meters to an adjacent beach and hike back to the meeting point.

Throughout the trip there will be many chances to see some of the island's native wildlife, including mountain goats, many types of fish, vultures and possibly dolphins. Its's quite an eclectic mix.

The Torrent de Pareis is a water torrent following a deep canyon that crosses the Tramontana mountain range in Mallorca. Its **impressive 300 meters walls** and wild scenery make it **one of the most extraordinary tours** in the island. Join us on this day hike and discover this amazing in Mallorca!

Because of its unique geological and biological features, a spectacular flora and fauna variety, and rugged morphology, the Torrent de Pareis has been declared a Natural Monument in 2003.

The Torrent de Pareis hike may be challenging for some, but it is easy for our guests, as we know this area very well. In order to join us, you need to have a **good fitness level** and some previous mountaineering experience.

I am an experienced guide and I will give you the confidence you need at some sections to overcome some obstacles. You will enjoy a magical experience visiting the Sa Calobra area. We don’t need a wetsuit from April to October.

We will be trekking along mysterious landscapes, away from the beaten-path. We will pass through some unique spots as _S’Entreforc,_ an authentic geological wonder, _cave of Es Soldat Pelut_, _Pool of Es Capellà_, _Cave of Es Romagueral, Walkway of s’Estaló, spring of Es Degotís_… and many more!

We will meet at the **Escorca restaurant**, located at 630 meteres above sea level. From that point we will start hiking down a paved mountain path, walking for about an hour, until we reach the _Canyon of Lluc._  Here the actual trail starts down the ravine to reach the _Entreforc,_ where the _Torrent de Pareis_ begins.

We will visit the end of the _**Gorg Blau**_ **or** _**Sa Fosca canyon.**_ Just a few meters separate both walls. You will be amazed by the view of the impressive rift, more than 200 meters high. Then we will follow an authentic mountain route to the ravine of the Torrent de Pareis.

At this point, **there is no marked trail** and we will be walking and climbing **through huge rocks, blocks** and unique formations shaped by the water. It is not necessary to use ropes following the right path. Our tour end in the _Sa Calobra area_, where we can relax and enjoy a well deserved bath.

When our adventure finishes, you can either choose to get back to the meeting point by public bus or to return by boat to the Port de Sóller.

**“Cami des Correu”**, or **_mail road_** in english, is a trail that dates back to **medieval times**, around the **year 1401**. And it **connects Esporles with Banyalbufar**.

Up until the **XIX century**, this public road was the **only means of communication** between those two charming towns, with each other and with **Palma**. Thus, the **importance of the road** not only for locals, but for the **history of the country**.

The duration of the hike is **about 4 hours**, **available all year round**. However, each season brings its own **wonderful features**. For instance, **summer** covers the area with **fresh scents** and **green shades**. **Spring** brings **colorful flowers** and **beautiful weather**. **Autumn** paints everything with **red, brown and gold**. And, winter, carries **refreshing and peaceful winds**.

I **need** you to experience the impossible depths of Spanish allure – come with me on this unbelievable 10-day trek through Mallorca and the Serra de Tramuntana. Walking and hiking along footpaths of an unimaginable island, you will experience the adventure of a lifetime.

Along the coast of Mallorca, the largest Balearic island, I have planned a trip that will put all of your other adventures to shame. Weaving through the olive groves of past lifetimes and the sleepy villages sprouting up along the way, you will live the magic of its intimate culture and heritage.

Mallorca is a popular destination for tourists and travelers from all over the world. It offers peaceful excitement within the context of an ancient culture.

While it is a artistic and cultural hub, the serenity of our trek along the famous GR221 route will give you a quieter and more unique story to remember. From historic cobblestone trails to ocean views over landscapes forgotten by time, the beauty of our mountain route is unprecedented.

Over the course of 10 days you will reach the highest accessible summit on the island, study the stonework of ancient cities, and get lost in the charming whitewashed towns dotting the coast.

We will cover about 18 kilometers each day, with some longer days that necessitate 20+ kilometers. This means 4-7 hours of walking each day, so you should be in reasonably good shape to take this program.

For the most part, the paths are maintained and will provide reasonable trekking routes. The course is fairly long, and we should occasionally be prepared to endure more difficult trails.

Upon arrival at Port d´Andratx, we will meet at the hotel to discuss the trek ahead of us. You will enjoy dinner and a night in the hotel.

We will head through the port villas into remarkable pine forests on a gentle hike to Coll de Sa Gramola. You will enjoy historic villages of past conquests (**Sant Elm**) and an incredible view of the **Sa Dragonera National Park** – a small island off the coast.

Taxis will return us back to the hotel at Port d´Andratx after we reach Coll de Sa Gramola. This is a moderate day, covering about 18 kilometers over roughly 6 hours.

Our backdrop of farms and pastures leads us along the trail, where we will eventually climb the ridgeline. Reaching 800m, you will have mountain views side by side with the picturesque Mediterranean.

After hiking below the **Moleta de S´Esclop**, we will descend into Estellencs and a hotel for the night. This is a difficult day, covering 15 kilometers over 5-6 hours.

Estellencs

You will take a historic path of royal proportions, walking beside incredible houses of past nobility. Our trail follows the coast and up to a pass that offers views of **Puig Major** (1,445m) and ultimately we will pass through a quaint terraced village – **Banyalbufar**.

At the end of the ´Cami des Correu,´ we reach Esporles for a night in a hotel. This is a moderate day, covering about 15km over the course of 5-6 hours.

Esporles

On a more sustained trek, we pass varied landscapes from hills and waterways to exposed rock. With an artistic stop in the village of **Valldemossa**, we will cross the mountain to reach our destination, though the miraculous views from our stops will offer unrelenting beauty.

We will end the day on the coast in a hotel at Deiá. This is a difficult day, covering 20km in 6-7 hours of hiking.

Deiá

We will spend an extended amount of time exploring the charm of Deiá before moving past flower-filled meadows. With the coastline to the west and a gentle path, we will arrive in Port de Sóller to exhaust a few hours in your choice of leisure.

We will remain in a hotel for the evening. This is an easy day, covering roughly 13 km in about 4 hours.

Our day begins with a tram ride, **the only remaining operational tram on the island**. We will face rocky gorges and storied irrigation to add depth to the beauty of the region. Traversing mountain paths and passes allows us hands-on experience in this captivating nature.

The Rifugio Tossals Verds will be our stop for the night. This is a difficult day, covering 24km in 6-7 hours.

We will cross the mountain range to explore the snow huts of the Serra de Tramuntana. We will take on the **Puig de Massenella (1,354m) – the highest accessible point on the island** – and will require a little bit of scrambling. Our destination – **Monastery of Lluc – is a UNESCO World Heritage Site** and many consider it the spiritual heart of the island.

We will end the day at the monastery and stay ina hotel for the night. This is a difficult day, covering 15km in about 5 hours.

After touring the monastery, we will head through the oak forest and pass canals and historic stonework. Reaching the end of GR221, we trek through the valley to our final destination of Pollença.

We will stay in a hotel on this night. It is an easy day, with an 18km hike over roughly 5 hours.

We will say our goodbyes after breakfast, and a transfer will take you to Palma Airport (included) at 10:00am.

Come explore Mallorca’s Dry Stone Route in the Tramuntana mountains with this amazing 8-day hike. **Hiking in Mallorca is an experience that no avid hiker should miss out on!**

The Drystone route runs along the island’s west coast and through its mountains. The route will take us through the most beautiful paths, from where we’ll enjoy magnificent views of the Tramuntana Mountains.

**Mediterranean smells and scenery, an infinite number of sheep and wild goats, Mallorcan cuisine and also pleasant accommodation** will make this trip an unforgettable one!

We will land in Palma and take a regional bus to Pollenca, where our hike starts. During our hike, we will stay at the beautiful accommodation house of the Consell de Mallorca. We will make stops at Tossal Verds, Rifugio Muleta and then Soller, among others. On the last day, we will return to Palma by train and then fly home.

We will walk between **5 and 7 hours per day**, with an altitude change of between 300 and 800 meters. I can take between 6 and 10 people on this hike, so don’t hesitate to bring friends and family along!
