### **For a full week, I would like to show you the absolute best of the Canary Islands in Spain. And, I would like to show it all to you on a mountain bike!**

Our trip will begin in **Tenerife**, arguably one of the most stunning natural areas in the world. Full of rain forest, biodiversity, volcanic sands and the amazing blue ocean, the area around **Tenerife** is unbelievable. And you will get plenty of opportunity to see it up close, while also reaching staggering heights. Thus allowing you to see the area’s vastness, and beauty.

We will also bike through **Gran Canaria**, travelling through **barrancos** and forests. Another fantastic area you will get to visit, explore and enjoy on your bike during this trip is **Lanzarote**. In **Lanzarote**, we will venture from volcano to volcano. Up close, you will get to marvel at the craters of the summits, while biking on different paths, most of which are comprised of solidified lava flow!

In total, during this week long mountain biking adventure, you will get to visit **3 islands in the Canary Islands**. Every day will see you venturing to different atmospheres, seeing different things and biking on different types of terrain. Hence providing you with an experience that will be as diverse as the islands themselves.

In order to participate on this trip, you should be in **good physical condition**. You should also have **prior experience biking on natural and wild terrain**.

#### The fourth largest, and most northeastern of the Canary Islands, Lanzarote is a fantastic place to visit, explore and enjoy.

For **8 exciting days**, I would like to guide you on a **mountain biking tour** on **Lanzarote** that will be as varied as it will be thrilling. Much will be seen during this tour, and enough memories will be created that you will be able to look on them for the rest of your life.

From beautiful beaches, to comfortable lodging, to incredible views, to plenty of exercise, this trip has everything. In fact, below are just a few of the amazing highlights you will get to enjoy.

With so much to see and do, there will nary be a moment when you are not enjoying something new and amazing. And as a means to see to it you that you explore all aspects of **Lanzarote**, we will venture from the top of the island’s highest point, to its coasts, to its villages, through its vegetation and through its volcanic areas as well. Thus giving you a truly immersive and mesmerizing experience.

As we will be riding for approximately **3 to 5 hours every day**, it is important that participants have **prior mountain biking experience** and are in **good physical condition**.

After arriving, you will be transferred to your lodging, where you will enjoy a nice dinner and have a briefing about the trip to come.

Arrival

Today we will ride for approximately 3 to 4 hours. We will start at the highest point of the island and make our way through Tabayesco to Guatiza and then on to Costa Teguise.

El Bosquecillo

For approximately 4 to 5 hours, after transferring to Arrieta, we will ascend to Maguez and to the base of the Volcan de la Corona. After that, we will continue on across the Guinate valley toward the Famara cliffs before returning to Arrieta.

The North

Today we will transfer to Orzola then take a boat ride to La Graciosa. On the island we will ride around it for approximately 4 hours. We will also enjoy a picnic at Playa de las Conchas before returning to Lanzarote on boat.

La Graciosa Island

Today we will transfer to La Asomada. There, we will ride for approximately 5 hours in the area, exploring the landscape before being transferred back.

La Geria and the Volcanoes

We will transfer to Maciot. From there, we will make our way uphill to the base of the Ajaches range before descending to the beautiful Papagayo beaches. We will be riding for approximately 3 hours today.

Playas de Papagayo

Beginning at Costa Teguise we will ride for approximately 3 hours through Los Cocoteros, crossing valleys and volcanoes before returning to Costa Teguise.

Los Cocoteros

On the final day, you will be transferred to the airport, where you will catch your flight home.

Join me on an adventurous **mountain biking day tour** in the beautiful **Canary Islands.** There are so many great trails here in Tenerife and I can help tailor your perfect trip according to what you’re looking for and your level.

To start, I’ll pick you up in the morning from the **Southside of the island** and we’ll travel together to the routes. Most of the trails take you along both gravel and through forests. There will be **steep uphills** to put your fitness to the test and **tricky downhills** which will require your concentration.

The scenery along the way is spectacular and varied. I’ll also be on hand the whole time to help you improve your technique and to offer tips to make sure you have a fun, safe time.  We’ll round off the day with a nice cool drink and you’ll be back in your hotel by the afternoon.  All in all, it’s a great day out.

##### Some of the great trails on offer:

**Vilaflor**  
This is a light to medium difficulty trail and takes you through pine forests and around volcanic landscapes. it also includes a nice long descent.

**Esperanza**  
Set in the lush Esperanza Forest, this is a pure intermediate route with some steep uphill sections and an epic winding downhill finish.

**Volcanos**  
As the name suggests, this trail is set around the Volcano Chinyero and has challenging uphills and technically difficult descent. This is an advanced route.
