Mount Jalovec lies at an altitude of 2,645 m (8,678 ft) in Slovenia and is a unique peak to enjoy views of the Julian Alps, the Dolomites, and the Austrian Hohe Tauern. Renowned for its beauty, it is located in the Triglav National Park and is a great mountain for those who would like to improve their mountaineering skills and train, as well as discover the amazing Slovenian wilderness.
Mount Jalovec is famous for its beauty, and although not the highest in the region, it is not altogether an easy mountain to climb. Its scarce vegetation and rocky faces make it a nice challenge and all routes require some rock climbing skills. The easiest is the southern route, and the most scenic are the northern routes starting from the Tamar Valley. However, the northern routes are also the most difficult to climb. Going with an experienced guide will guarantee that you are safe and that you take the best route up according to your skills and level.
Short summers and below-freezing winters characterize the climate of the region.
Fly to Ljubljana, Slovenia's capital and then drive, take a bus or a train to Kranjska Gora. From there, you can make arrangements with your guide.
