Discover great  trails in the beautiful region of Bouillon in Belgium, with this multi-level trail running weekeend. Come enjoy a great time with friends or relatives with different running level.

For two days, we will be running surrounded by green valleys, forests and rivers, on trails suitable to three different levels, **Initiation, Progression and Advanced**. Bouillon is a wonderful place for nature lovers.

The **Initiation Level** offers three different and quite easy trails, of 5 kilometers, 8 kilometers and 10 kilometers long. You will also have the possibility of a trail running night with a frontal, covering 8 kilometers, a great experience before returning to the comfortable cottage where we will be staying at.

If you already have some experience, you can join the **Progression Level** itinerary. We will make 3 outings: the first in the afternoon of Saturday (15 km), the second during the night (10 km) and the third on Sunday morning (15 km).

The **Advanced Level p**rogram also offers 3 outings: on Saturday after midday (25 km), the second during the night (10 km) and the third on Sunday morning (25 km).

We will be running through some of the most beautiful spots in the region, like the Crêtes de Frahan, we will use the Échelles de Rochehaut and the Tombeau du géant, and many other surprises! We will be offering you advice on preparation, nutrition and many other trail running aspects.

On this **full weekend trail running** trip, you will have the chance to cover nearly **70 kilometres** on **4 different trails** in the **Engreux** area of **Wallonia, Belgium**.

The landscape of the entire **Engreux** area is fantastic. And throughout the trails, you will have the chance to take it all in, while physically challenging yourself to make it to the end.

Each day will different. The scenery will shift all the time. There will be descents and ascents. There will also be different rivers and forests. However, one thing that will remain consistent will be the fun you will have, the comfort of the lodging, as well as the high quality of **healthy food** you will be served.

On the first day of the trip, we will make our way on **trail 1**, under the guise of darkness. This trail is **10 kilometres long**, and will act as a great introduction.

The next day, we will head out to **trail** **2**. This quiet trail is **16.5 kilometres long** and is filled with several fun climbs.

Later in the day, we will take **trail 3**. This beautiful trail is **16.9 kilometres long** and is filled with foliage.

Finally, on the last day, we will make our way along **trail 4**, which is the longest of the 4 trails at **21.7 kilometres long**, and concludes with the famed **Rocher du Herou.**

**Engreux is an amazing place. And this trail running weekend will be as rewarding as it will be physically taxing. And I have no doubt that by the end of the trip, you will have enough memories to last the rest of your life. **Bouillon**, like several other parts of the **Wallonia** region of **Belgium**, offers some great natural areas that are perfect for **trail running**. On this trip, we will make our way through **3 different trails** in **2 days** spanning approximately **50 kilometres**. Each trail is unique and possess its own highlights. We will make our way through **forests**. We will make our way across **rivers**. We will even make our way through one of the 3 trails at night!

Another big highlight of this trip is that on one of the trails, there is a **vertical drop** that involves a **technical descent**. Thus adding a challenging aspect to the trip. The drop is not mandatory however, so if you don’t want to do it, you don’t have to.

The first day will begin with all participants and guides meeting at **noon**. After that, we will depart for the **first trail** at **1 o’clock**. We will then have some much needed **dinner** at **7 o’clock**. And at **9 o’clock**, we will enjoy the **second trail**. On the second day we will wake up early and have breakfast. And by **9:30** we will head out and enjoy the **final trail** of the trip. After that, we will enjoy a **nice lunch** at the lodging before the end of the weekend’s adventure.

It is important to note that because of the nature of this trip, participants should be in **good physical condition**. Also, participants should be able to run at least **20 kilometres per day** at a steady **9 kilometre per hour pace**.

There are many wonderful regions and trails to choose from when it comes to **trail running in Belgium**. And on this **weekend adventure**, I would like to take you running on **3 different trails** in the beautiful region of **Bouillon.**

Full of lush green valleys, crystal blue creek and rivers and stunning panoramic viewpoints, **Bouillon** is a great place to explore. A fantastic area, it is the perfect place for nature lovers. And on the trails I will guide you through, you will get to see a great deal of it.

The three trails offered on this trip are **5 kilometers long, 8 kilometers long and 10 kilometers long**. Thus giving you a great variety. While the trails vary in distance, one thing they share in common is the wonderful experience you will have exploring them. There is even some **nocturnal trail running** on this trip, so you can see **Bouillon** under the starry blanket of evening before resting on a soft bed in a comfortable cottage or inn for the night.

With **23 kilometers of total area** being covered on this trip, you will get a fantastic workout.  As an added bonus, the trails are quiet easy, so while you should be in **good physical condition** to participate on this trip, there are no challenging technical aspects to worry about. Hence making it ideal for **trail running beginners**.

Located in the **Belgian province of Luxembourg, Durbuy** is a beautiful place. It is a great highlight in the popular **Wallonia region** of the country. Not very big, and with a sparse population, there is a freshness, an openness of the area. Thus making it perfect for a weekend of **trail running.**

Throughout this **weekend adventure**, which takes place in the spring blooming month of **March**, you will see a great deal of **Durbuy**.

In groups of **no more than 10 people**, we will have access to trails totaling **25 kilometers or 50 kilometers over the course of the weekend**. The selection of trails will depend heavily on your fitness level, ability, as well as your desires for what kind of trip you want to have. And splitting up the weekend running, will be a comfortable stay in a local Inn or cottage. Equipped with a soft bed and access to delicious food you can enjoy in the evening and morning, you will be well rested and well fed for the second day of the trip.

Situated on the banks of the Semois River, the Grand Trail de Bouillon is the perfect spot to practice running on a variety of different terrains. We will also spend time during the trip discussing various aspects of trail and running as well as recommending useful tips for preparing for an Ultra.

Once we have gotten settled into the hotel or hostel at which we will be staying on Saturday, we will immediately head out and begin our first 52 or 25 kilometer run, depending on your endurance levels.

As we run through wooded and winding trails, we will discuss the best nutrition and training methods for those of you who are preparing to run an Ultra.

On Sunday, we will put the new techniques as well as your equipment to the test with a randomly selected course. What course we will do also depends on your endurance and how we feel that morning.

We will run in a relatively small group – 10 people maximum – in order to spend as much time discussing strategies for specific participants as well as cultivating a more discussion based session as opposed to a lecture.

Join this multi-level trail running weekend in **Malmedy**, and discover the beautiful landscapes of this place **in the region of Wallonia, Belgium**. Share your running passion with friends and relatives with different experience level, as the program is open to 3 levels at the same time.

Enjoy a “mini-holiday” relaxed atmosphere, running through the region of the **Hautes Fagnes**, along rivers, lakes and forests. The Hautes Fagnes – High Fens, in English – are an upland area and the largest nature reserve in Belgium, located in the Liège province.

The **Initiation Level** offers three completerly different trails. The first one takes us to the Hautes Fagnes plateau, covering 10 kilometeres. The second trail is 10 kilometers long, throught the Warche valley. You will also have the possibility of a 7 kilometer night trail, at a relaxed rythm, using a frontal light.

If you already have some experience, you can join the **Progression Level** itinerary. The first trail also takes us to the Hautes Fagnes, covering 15 kilometeres. The second trail (10 km) will introduce us to night running wiht a headlamp. The last one is a 15 kilometers trail, on Sunday morning, through the Warche Valley.

The **Advanced Level** program is the perfect option for experienced runners. It also offers 3 outings: the first one to the Hautes Fagnes, through a 29-kilometer trail (510 D+), the second trail covers a distance of 25 kilometers (920 D+) through the Warche Valley. Finally, you will also have the option to join the  10-kilometer night trail, with a headlamp.

We will all be staying at the Malmedy Youth Hostel. You will take meals and aperitifs together with groups from different level, but the outings will be guided separatedly  by **three different guides.**  So, if you have a friend or a partner who does not have the same level as you, it is a great opportunity to spend a great weekend staying together and sharing your running passion.
