Would you like to discover a new and exciting location for MTB adventures? Then join us on this 1-day program in the Apuseni Mountains, near Cluj-Napoca in Romania.
The Apuseni Mountains are located in the Western Romanian Carpathians. They are a great spot to catch sight of the sunset and also have about 400 caves. This makes the Apuseni Mountains a very attractive location for outdoor adventures in Romania, and MTB is one of the best options to discover the amazing landscapes of the region.
On this 1-day adventure, we will cover about 23 km of stunning terrain, over the span of around 8 hours. On the way, we will stop to explore and admire the amazing surroundings. Additionally, for part of the trip, we will pedal to an altitude of over 1000 meters, and the tops of the ridge will take us, one by one, through the still inhabited hamlets of Muntele Bocului, Muntele Filii and Văratec.
This MTB program is for beginner and intermediate riders who want to discover a unique location to practice this fun sport. You will need to have a good fitness level to join, and an adventurous spirit! Of course, we will be there every step of the way to help and guide you.

Thanks Lucian for an amazing trip in the Făgăraș mountains, he was very skilled and flexible with regards to shifting conditions. Although we did not reach the peak due to bad weather, he made up a new route and I got the full 2 days regardless. Would strongly recommend to people with a little bit of hiking/climbing experience at least. Bring warm clothes, gloves and headwear!
