Description

If you are looking for an adventurous trek with impressive sights, this Nounou Mountain hike is for you! During one day you will enjoy nature’s breathtaking wisdom while you exercise through a good pace walk.

Nounoun Mountain, also known as Sleeping Giant, is situated in the Nounou Forest Reserve on the Hawaiian island of Kauai. I don’t want to spoil the whole story, so I’ll only say that during the trek you will listen to the beautiful legend that gave the name to the mountain that looks like a human being leaned back.

The trail is designed to go up right to the Giant’s forehead! In other words, you will accomplish an ascent of 300 meters through a bushy, uneven, steep and muddy trail. From the top, you will be able to see the Wailua Homesteads, the Mount Wai’ale’le and the eastern shore.

In case you want to keep on discovering Hawaii, I can take you to one of the waterfalls in the island, where you can refresh with a pleasant swim.

Guide was very experienced and very patient with us. We learned alot and he tried to fit in all the knowledge he could in one day, super awesome. A little tough going back and forth to get the trip set up hard to tell if the site is sketchy until you see reviews but all worked out. Ended up with an awesome day with an awesome guide.
