However, Tignes is much newer than Val d’Isere and has 5 villages at different altitudes built on a beautiful mountain plateau. Furthermore, this stunning spot is home to the Grande Motte glacier, which is open almost year-round. The area offers incredible ski options for all levels and some great places for powder snow skiing.
