Take this thrilling tour on the hottest off-piste in Gulmarg. Learn all about curry powder skiing with IFMGA guide, Klemen. Open groups - advanced skiers!
If you are looking for the hottest off-piste of the last couple of years, this is it! Join me on the Indian curry powder experience of a lifetime in the Indian Gulmarg, Kashmir. With cable cars dropping you at 4,000m and unlimited options to ski on 1,500m long slopes, this is a fantastic program for those who live for powder.
Powder skiing is an excellent activity for India, since it has an unbeatable climate. Thanks to the influence on the Himalaya mountain range, the area of Gulmarg gets up to 15 m of snow per year! This has some major benefits: wide open slopes, superb trees, and deep, very deep powder.
This 10-day program includes 6 full skiing days. I will guide you on different locations and activities, including some amazing tree skiing, on magnificent mountains and the beautiful lake Dal. These are just some of the great memories you will take from this tour.
Some of the highlights of this program are:
This is an open group with a fixed departure date (check details below). Make sure you book your spot. For this tour, I will take groups of up to 6 skiers.
Apart from your basic skiing gear, I recommend you bring skis with ski-touring bindings and skins which fit your skis, as your guide may decide to do a short climb to get the best skiing on untouched slopes. I also strongly recommend the use of an avalanche airbag backpack.

IFMGA Mountain Guide
I was born in Jesenice on 25.03.1967. I’m based in Gozd Martuljek in the Julian Alps, Slovenia. I qualified as an IFMGA Mountain Guide in 2003 and I was President of the Slovenian Mountain Guide Association from 2009-2013. I’ve loved the mountains for as long as I can remember. It started in primary school when I was in the local mountaineering club. In high school I started climbing. Later I joined the mountain rescue team in Kranjska Gora and I have been a member of the rescue team since 1994. I’ve been guiding for the past 11 years in the Alps and all around the world. Each year I usually guide for about 150 days.
Alongside my work, my family (wife, 2 children), travel and mountain photography are my passions.
- Guiding skills: rock climbing, climbing routes, touring ski, ice climbing, winter climbing.
Since 2005 I’m sponsored by Montura and last 6 years I’m skiing on Elan skies.

I really want to thank Klemen Gricar to take a lot of time for our two children of 8 years and 10 years. He had all the appropiate gear with him, provided a lot of safety measurements and took his time to explain and help them for their first \'climbing and via Ferrata experience\'. They liked it so much that they wanted to do it immediately again.
We would like to thank you very much, for the patience and great efforts of Mr. Klemen with our kid. It was a great experience.
