Ishinca and Tocllaraju are two mountains that belong to the Cordillera Blanca in the Peruvian Andes. With 6,034 meters above sea level, Tocllaraju is one of the highest peaks in the country. It is also a very popular ascent for mountaineers around the globe. Ishinca has a height of 5,530 meters and it is located in the Ishinca Valley, one of the most popular valleys of the area and an excellent starting point for different adventures.

On this tour, we’ll reach the summits of both mountains. We’ll use the Ishinca Refuge and the Morrena Camp as bases for our ascents. Also, during the trip, you will have the opportunity to visit the Wilcacocha and the Churup lakes, among other wonderful spots. Please take a look at the itinerary below for more information.

About the Guide

IFMGA/UIAGM Mountain Guide from Perú, based in Huaraz, Cordillera Blanca.

I like mountaineering and skiing. I recently completed the ski certification in Argentina, so I'm one of the few fully IFMGA certified guides in Peru. I've also guided in Ecuador, Bolivia, Argentina and the Alps.

Some of my favourite trips are climbing in the Dolomites, Fitz Roy in El Chalten, and mountain biking across Peru, Bolivia and Chile.
