I invite you to reach the summits of Vallunaraju and Pisco and enjoy their most amazing ski descents. They are two beautiful peaks of the Peruvian Andes, in Cordillera Blanca.

**Vallunaraju and Pisco** are two very popular mountains from the area. **Vallunaraju (5,686 meters)** is located in the Huaraz province and **Pisco (5,752 meters)** in Yungay, Ancash region.

The Vallunaraju summit is open to every type of skier. Its access is not difficult and it is perfect for acclimatization and beginners. In addition, it is a very good spot to practice different mountain activities such as ice climbing. As for Pisco, its ascent is not difficult either. This peak is known as the balcony of the Cordillera Blanca since you can enjoy the most astonishing panoramic views from its summit.

Although these are not challenging ascents, it is important to have **a good physical condition** to join this trip.

Lima

We’ll drive during 8 hours from Lima to Huaraz (3,100 m). During the trip, you will contemplate the beautiful sight of the Cordillera Blanca.

Huaraz

We’ll drive to the Santa Cruz pass and walk through the Cordillera Negra to the Wilcacocha lake (3,745 meters).

Wilcacocha Lake

We’ll go from Huaraz to Pitec (3,885 meters) and walk during 3 hours to the Churup lake (4,450 meters) inside the Huascaran National Park.

Churup Lake

We’ll drive from Huaraz during approximately 2 hours until the Llaca gorge. Then we’ll hike to the Morrena Camp (4,945 meters).

Morrena Camp Vallunaraju

We’ll start the ascent early in the morning. After we reach a glacier, we’ll put our skis on. We’ll do a moderate ascent to the summit. Then we’ll return to Huaraz.

We’ll drive from Huaraz to Llamacoral. From this point, we’ll walk during 3 hours to the Base Camp (4,665 meters).

Pisco Base Camp

We’ll reach the summit of Pisco (5,752 meters). We’ll use our skis during part of the way. From the top, you’ll see the incredible landscape of the highest peaks of the Cordillera Blanca. Then we’ll ski down to the Perú Refuge (4,665 meters).

Spend 13 wonderful ski touring days in the **Ishinca and Tocllaraju peaks** from the Cordillera Blanca, Peru.

Ishinca and Tocllaraju are two mountains that belong to the **Cordillera Blanca** in the Peruvian Andes. With **6,034 meters** above sea level, Tocllaraju is one of the highest peaks in the country. It is also a very popular ascent for mountaineers around the globe. Ishinca has a height of **5,530 meters** and it is located in the Ishinca Valley, one of the most popular valleys of the area and an excellent starting point for different adventures.

On this tour, we’ll reach the summits of both mountains. We’ll use the Ishinca Refuge and the Morrena Camp as bases for our ascents. Also, during the trip, you will have the opportunity to visit the Wilcacocha and the Churup lakes, among other wonderful spots. **Please take a look at the itinerary below for more information.**

To take part of this trip, it is mandatory to have **prior mountaineering experience** and **a very good physical condition**.

We’ll go from Lima to Huaraz (3,100 meters) by bus in an 8-hour drive. You will see the astonishing landscape of the Cordillera Blanca on the way.

We’ll drive south to the Santa Cruz pass and walk through the Cordillera Negra to the Wilcacocha lake (3,745 meters).

We’ll drive to Pashpa (3,600 meters) and start our hike to the Ishinca Hut (4,350 meters). We’ll contemplate the beautiful surrounding peaks during the hike.

Ishinca Refuge

We’ll go from the refuge to the Ishinca North Glacier, from where we’ll continue with our skis on. Then we’ll reach the Ishinca summit (5,530 meters) and see the incredible landscapes from the top. We’ll return to the refuge through the southwest glacier under the Ranrapalca mountain.

We’ll start the hike from the hut until we reach the Camp 1 (5,000 meters) to the Tocllaraju.

Morrena Camp Tocllaraju

We’ll reach the Tocllaraju summit (6,034 meters). We’ll do part of our hike with our skis on. Finally, we’ll return to the Camp and then to the refuge.

Come with me to discover the mysteries of the **Huyahuash mountain range**, in the **Peruvian Andes**. On this exciting 16-day hiking tour, I’ll take you to remote lakes, the **Marañón River** and some impressive landscapes you’ll never forget. Join me to explore Peru’s second highest mountain range.

We’ll meet at **Lima** and ride a bus towards **Huaraz**, going through the Peruvian coastline and enjoying views of the **Cordillera Blanca**. We’ll spend a day hiking the **Cordillera Negra** and then ride a bus to the town of **Chiquían**. From there, we’ll start our hiking ascent going through different towns and peaks.

**During this trek you will cherish the white immensity of the Peruvian mountains, where lies a peak regarded as ‘the most beautiful mountain in the world’: Alpamayo Mountain.**

Alpamayo (5947 m) is one of the most visible and attractive peaks in the western branch of the **Cordillera Blanca** —a mountain range which is part of the Peruvian Andes— and is situated within the **Huascarán National Park**.

On this 19-day guided trek we’ll reach **altitudes higher than 4000 m,** so acclimatization will be very important. In order to gain height gradually, we’ll spend the first days of the trip hiking along different peaks surrounded by extraordinary landscapes. **From the Cordillera Negra Wilcacocha (3800 meters), for example, you will appreciate almost the entire Cordillera Blanca.**

Our trekking tour begins in the town of **Hualcayán**. You will first pass the lagoons of Yanacocha and Azulcocha and appreciate a spectacular view of Santa Cruz Mountain (6259 meters) from the beautiful Cullicocha lagoon.

During this trip you will also enjoy a great sunset at Cañon del Pato, where the Cordillera Blanca and Negra meet, and see the Andean cereal crops: kiwicha and quinoa.

Join me for an incredible trekking trip to the heights of **Santa Cruz**. Located in the **Cordillera Blanca** in the **Andes** of **Peru**, this place is ideal for those looking for a short trip or a practice to more intense adventures. Come discover the wonders of the **Ulta Trek**.

We’ll begin at **Quebrada Huaripampa**. The first day we’ll ride a bus from **Huaraz** to **Cashapampa**, from where we’ll begin our 5-6 hour hike towards **Llamacorral** at 3,800 meters.

On our second day, our hike will include the stunning glacial lakes of **Ichiccocha** and **Jatuncocha**. Then, we’ll continue through a beautiful route until we reach the camping site of **Taullipampa**, where the views of **Alpamayo**, **Quitaraju**, **Artesonraju**, **Parón** and **Aguja** are incredible.

On our third day, we’ll reach **Punta Unión**, the highest point in our trip at 4,750 meters. We’ll then descend towards **Paria**, our camping site.

The following three days of the trip will be spent hiking through places such as **Huaripampa**, **Colcabamba**, **Molinopampa**, **Camp Avalancha**, **Yanayacu** and **Valle de Ulta**. We’ll also get to see the impressive **Huascarán peak** and **Chopicalqui**.

This trip is recommended for intermediate hikers. The trip offers some difficulty, mostly regarding to height.
