The Balaitús (3,144m) is a popular massif in the Pyrenees, located on the border between France and Spain. This awesome mountaineering trip is your chance to climb one of its most popular ridges, Cresta del Diablo, and reach its summit. Join me!
Also known as Pico de los Moros (Spanish for Moor’s peak), this mountain marks the starting point of the High Pyrenees, and was first climbed in 1825. One of its most amazing ridges is Cresta del Diablo (Spanish for Devil’s Ridge), named for the particular shape of its rock formations, which look like flames and tridents.
We will start this mountaineering adventure in Embalse de La Sarra. From there, we’ll climb to a charming mountain hut where we will rest surrounded by fabulous alpine landscapes. On the following day, we will head up to Cresta del Diablo and Cresta de Costerillou, to finally reach the summit of The Balaitús.
Keep in mind that you need to have some mountaineering experience and a good fitness level! Of course, I will be there to help and guide you.
So, if you are up for this 2-day mountaineering tour in the Pyrenees, please contact me. Let’s climb Cresta del Diablo and reach the summit of the Balatiús!

Fantastic climb! We were the only people climbing the normal route so we had the mountain to ourselves. Fede was great, highly professional, and he assessed the risks very well. Highly recommended!
