Description

The Naranjo de Bulnes is a very well known summit around the world. With 2,519 meters above sea level, it is located in the Picos de Europa National Park in the Cabrales community of Asturias. This is one of the most visited national parks in Spain.

Furthermore, the Naranjo de Bulnes is one of the several mountain peaks from the Urrieles Massif. This is the most important mountain from the three massifs that form the Picos de Europa, a mountain range that covers the northern coast of Spain.

During this 2-day trip, you will be able to climb this beautiful and unique summit. Also, we will stay on the lovely Urriellu refuge at the foot of the mountain.

As for the itinerary, we will first start walking towards the base of the mountain. To reach there we will leave the village of Sotres, the highest village of the Picos de Europa National Park. We will reach the Urriellu Refuge by the afternoon. It’s situated at 1,960 meters right at the foot of the Naranjo de Bulnes. We will spend the night there.

On the second day, we will reach the summit and you will admire one of the most incredible landscapes in the Iberian Peninsula.

If you want to take this tour, remember that a good fitness level and minimum climbing knowledge are mandatory.

So join me in this great 2-day ascent to the Naranjo de Bulnes. I will be happy to guide you through this amazing summit in Asturias. Book your place now!

Thank you explore-share for a wonderful via feratta experience. We have been wanting to learn for a long time but don't have the facilities in Scotland. The guide Mitja was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, answering all my many questions and providing advice. On the day head to take another group but he quickly arranged another guide Borut, who was brilliant. We had a fantastic morning learning via ferrata at Hvadnik in the gorge. It gave us the confidence to later hire our own equipment and go out in Mojstrana. Altogether a five star + experience. Thank you.
