Description

Nestled into the remote wilderness of northwest British Columbia, the Skeena Mountains serve as the perfect backdrop for a heliskiing adventure.

Boasting seemingly endless mountain slopes covered in pristine, unspoiled powder and old growth forests, there are fewer places on earth that are as beautiful and well-suited to powder skiing.

We will spend four days heading out to various spots in the mountains, dropping onto their scenic summits and racing back into the valleys below.

Following the guidance of one of our local and knowledgable guides, you will be shown the best spots, far away from where normal backcountry skiers could possibly venture.

There are so many incredible places and with the helicopter we will be able to explore up to 5,500 square kilometers of this impeccable wilderness in the Skeena Mountains. With so much to choose from, it's hard to know where to start… or stop!

If the weather does not end up cooperating with us and we cannot safely take the helicopter then we will hop in the snowcat instead and head out on a cat skiing adventure closer to the resort. Don't worry, the powder and views are just as good!

Thank you explore-share for a wonderful via feratta experience. We have been wanting to learn for a long time but don't have the facilities in Scotland. The guide Mitja was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, answering all my many questions and providing advice. On the day head to take another group but he quickly arranged another guide Borut, who was brilliant. We had a fantastic morning learning via ferrata at Hvadnik in the gorge.
