Description

The Allgäu Alps are a mountain range located at the east of the Lake of Constance, stretching from Bavaria (Germany) to Tyrol and Vorarlberg (Austria). In this 4-day hiking tour you will explore the diverse and picturesque landscape of this area.

This adventure starts in Oberstdorf, a town located at Southern Germany. We will take the Fellhorn cable car, with beautiful views of alpenroses, and hike to the Kühgundalpe (1,745 m). On the following days we will get to the Walser Hammerspitze, previosuly called Schüsser (2,170 m), a natural border between Germany and Austria, and Kuhgehrenalpe (1,673 m), both wit unforgettables panoramic views.

But the highlight of this tour is surely Gottesacker plateau, a karst landscape with lots of natural caves and rare mountain plants. This wild and rugged spot offers a unique geological and botanical attraction for all the hikers around the world.

From here we can see the Hoher Ifen (2,230m), the highest peak of the Kleinwalsertal Valley. If we have good weather conditions we can climb to its summit.

Furthermore, you will eat delicious local food and rest in the most charming refuges around the area: Fiderepass Hut and Mahdtalhaus.
