Located in the U.S. states of Montana and Wyoming, the Gallatin Range is located in the Rocky mountains. Join one of our certified guides on this 5-day hiking trip and explore Yellowstone’s most prominent mountain range!

During this backpacking adventure, hikers will discover the diverse wildlife corridor along the northwestern boundary of Yellowstone National Park. Animals like wolves, grizzly bears and more live in this wonderful and mountainous landscape.

The 5-day trip covers 24 miles (or 39 km) and every day participants will walk approximately 6 miles (10km). Consequently, it is a moderate to difficult hike which requires a good fitness level. Regarding our accommodation, every afternoon we will set camp in the beautiful places we find along the way. In fact, one of the trip´s highlights will be to camp in Shelf Lake, Yellowstone’s highest lake at 9,200 feet (2800m)!

Guide was very experienced and very patient with us. We learned alot and he tried to fit in all the knowledge he could in one day, super awesome. A little tough going back and forth to get the trip set up hard to tell if the site is sketchy until you see reviews but all worked out. Ended up with an awesome day with an awesome guide. Overall pretty satisfied and thankful!
