Description
The Haute route Chamonix-Zermatt is one of the most famous routes in the world! It is both, beautiful and thrilling. The majestic mountains along the way, its stunning glaciers and the winter landscapes make this a very special route.
Because it is located in an area near many glaciers, the quality of the snow here is incredible! So, not only will you get the most amazing views, you’ll also enjoy the most thrilling descents.
Skiing on this place is simply wonderful! And there are descents for everyone. For instance, if you are an intermediate skier, I can take you to the best spots where you can improve on your skills. But, if you are an expert, I can show you places where you can challenge yourself!
Moreover, the huts throughout this route are in strategic places. Also, all of the refuges in which we’ll stay are recently renovated. And they offer the best option for accommodation, food and drinks. So you’ll get to stay in comfortable and charming refuges with incomparable views that are mesmerizing.
One of the thrilling highlights of this trip is the steep crossing path on the way to the Valsorey hut. Just like in many parts of this dazzling route, this one constantly changes. So in certain areas you’ll see beautiful glaciers, like the ones in the Valais Alps. In others, the most iconic mountains, like Mont Blanc and the Matterhorn will take over your view.
Due to the icy patches along the route, we’ll have to use crampons in certain areas. So, this trip is ideal for those with previous alpine experience. If you have it, and wish to join this adventure, send me a request. You’ll have a wonderful time ski touring here!

I love the mountains and they have been my destiny and my passion for more than 20 years now!
Everyday I feel a big gratitude to work in this outstanding landscapes and being able to inspire my clients - we always have a good time together and make it a unique experience!
I am based in Schaffhausen, a nice historic town in the north of Switzerland and the area of lake constance. From here we have all options, whether it be one-day-trips to eastern- and central alps or whole journeys to foreign countries.
My second base is the small town of Arolla, Valais - all high peaks of the alps are around this area. It is exactly between Zermatt and Chamonix, a perfect place to be...I love the contrast of the different cities!
Together with my team and friends from BERIE alpine school we want to invite you to join our climbs and skiing trips or our trekking trips around the world. In high altitude mountains, I have lot of experience, working many years in this game with well-established partners, for example as guide on Mount Everest (Summit success 2003 with 7 members).
In my program you will find fine mountain journeys with or without skis. We will offer you not just the climb and a summit successes! Mountains are not gyms!
To get in touch with the local people and to understand their way of life and history is an important part of my philosophy. Climbing with guide Guillaume was absolutely a highlight of my 2-week Europe vacation. Originally, we were planning on climbing in the Calanques, but the park was closed due to wind and fire danger.
