IFMGA-certified guide Jean-Marc wants to share the Queryas valley in southern France with you. Join this amazing 8-day ski touring experience.
I’d love for you to join me on a beautiful off-piste and ski touring trip in the bright sunshine of the south of France.
The Queryas lies near the Italian border, between Briancon and Gap in the Hautes Alps. It is in incredibly special and unique area because it still holds strong ties to local traditions. You’ll be able to observe the region’s pastoral and craft culture in this enclave in the heart of the Alps. There are a few small ski resorts in valleys nearby, but they have not taken away from the untamed nature and traditional architecture that we find here.
Furthermore, the region receives a great deal of sunshine and abundant snowfall, making it an excellent ski destination. But it is still largely unknown to the majority of skiers. Because Queyras is off the beaten track, it’s an ideal place to explore via ski touring.
On this trip, we’ll stay in a small charming hotel in a converted traditional house of Molines-en-Queyras. From there, we will head out to ski in different valleys every day. We’ll go to Saint Véran, Abriès, Molines, Ceillac, and Arvieux.
The top of the ski lifts in these valleys will allow us to climb even higher, arriving at summits with huge gorgeous panoramas. Then we’ll ski down to the very bottom of unspoiled valleys. The runs are comparable in length and gradient to those in the Northern Alps.
You won’t want to miss this opportunity for great snow and scenic views in the south of France! You’ll explore great touring areas while staying comfortably in a cosy hotel in a traditional village.
So don’t delay, book today! I’m looking forward to meeting you and guiding you in France.
I lead many different mountain trips around the world. Check out this ski touring trip in Morocco.

- The passion of virgin areas -
Climbing, mountaineering, trekking, off-piste skiing, ski touring, heliskiing, I have used all the resources available in the mountain to explore the Alps in France, Italy, Switzerland, and also Nepal, Peru and Bolivia, Chile, Argentina, Alaska, Canada, Kenya, Tanzania, Morocco and Turkey, Norway, Greenland and Spitsbergen…
Currently, with the enthusiasm of being a guide, I traverse the world’s mountains and I share my passion with those whom I call “clients” but after many years of common adventures have become my friends.

Thanks to Jean-Marc (together with his colleague Goulven) we spent a wonderful time climbing up the Gran Paradisio! Their great technical expertise and long-standing experience enable us to feel safe as well as excited about this trek! In addition, I enjoyed very much our inspiring discussions with these guides. They shared their rich professional and human experience with a great deal of enthusiasm! I recommend to spend the night at the Chabod refuge on the first day and drop by Vittorio Emmanuel II while climbing-down towards the starting point.

Hello to all who like the intensity of amazing heights reached with sometimes a bit of sweat but so rewarding that the memories live in you year in or out. I travelled many times with Jean-Marc as guide. Heliskiing in Canada, Touring skiing (seals\' skin skiing) in Tromso, Spitzberg or more simply in ski resorts like France, Italy and Bulgaria. I recommend him for the complete trust in what he is sure I can do and his guiding ability on top of our sharing a good bear after the day\'s efforts (I am Belgian so ...). I even tried myself at 53 years\' old to a bit of climbing with \"Aiguille d\'Entrève\" and discovered a new ability. Great moments past and to come.
