Combine the fun of skiing and the thrill of mountaineering and you get ski mountaineering. A fantastic activity that is as physically demanding as it is immensely enjoyable, there is nothing quite like it. And on this 4 day introductory level course, I would like to teach you the skills and techniques necessary to ski toyr properly and safely. Furthermore, because this course takes place in the extravagant Alps mountain range, you will also get 4 days of amazing views as well.
Since this is an introductory level course, you do not need to be a ski expert. However, you should have some previous ski experience on black level slopes. A good physical shape is also required.
There are several options throughout the Alps we can choose from as to where to take the course. Those options span between France, Italy and Switzerland.
With 4 days to work with, you will have the chance to learn a great deal about ski mountaineering. We will cover descent technique with light equipment and safety techniques. We will also cover self rescue, avalanche terrain identification, and much more throughout the course.
By the end of this trip, I have no doubt you will be better prepared for future ski mountaineering expeditions. So send me a request, come to the Alps, and let me teach you how enjoy them in the most exciting way.
Are you interested in learning how to how to ski down powdery steep slopes in the high mountains? Then come and join me on freeride skiing trip in the Aosta Valley.

Mountain Guide
Enrico and IFMGA Guides’ team
At the age of 15, I knew I wanted to become a mountain guide, I wanted to live in the mountains, teach and share my new passion with everyone. In 2006 I realized my dream and I became a professional certified mountain guide.
I enjoy sharing my knowledge and experience with my clients, embarking on a journey that slowly transforms the guide-client relationship into a climbing partner and often a lasting friendship. I am not and never will be a lone climber but "a fellow explorer”. My specialty is certainly climbing on ice and mixed terrain at high altitude.
With my clients I have climbed the most difficult faces in the Alps, explored mountain ranges, and traveled across America, Asia, Africa, and Europe.
Now I share all this with a group of friends and highly qualified, professional guides who will be pleased to lead and teach you whenever I am not available.
If I trust them…you can trust them too!
