The Araucania Region is home to many important and attractive volcanoes. With a surface area of 31,858 km², it is the ideal playground for this 10-day backcountry splitboarding tour!

With Argentina on the east and the Pacific Ocean on the west, this region is located in the center of Chile. It offers endless possibilities and a unique terrain for backcountry splitboarding. Furthermore, its descents of over 2,000 meters make this a great riding spot. The volcanoes you will get to visit during this trip include the following:

Villarrica (2,847 m)
Llaima (3,125 m)
Osorno (2,652 m)
Casablanca (2,240 m)
Lanín (3,747 m)
Lonquimay (2,865 m)
Tolhuaca (2,806 m)
Nevados de Sollipulli (2,282 m)

Throughout ten days you will get to explore this unique region. Because this is an intense trip, you will require previous splitboarding experience. Also, it is important that you have a good physical condition. Anyway, it won’t all be hard work. All these stunning volcanoes are surrounded by natural hot springs where you will be able to relax every afternoon after long and challenging days out riding!

Thank you explore-share for a wonderful via feratta experience. We have been wanting to learn for a long time but don't have the facilities in Scotland. The guide Mitja was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, answering all my many questions and providing advice.
