Description

It is a pleasure for me to invite you to conquer the highest summit of the Iberian Peninsula!

The Almanzor, with its 2591 meters of altitude, is the highest peak of all the Central System mountain range. It rises over a wide amount of crests, granite spires, gorges and lagoons. That is why, from its summit you can enjoy one of the most spectacular views of the region.

Please keep in mind that reaching the Almanzor's summit supposes a unique experience of which it is worth to enjoy. So, be sure to do it with maximum security by the hand of a high mountain UIAGM guide, like me. I have climbed this peak hundreds of times and can guarantee the safest adventure!

We can do this summit in one or two days, according to the level and experience of the participants. If it's your first time in the mountains we can rest and spend the night in a hut next to the Laguna Grande. I'll pick you up early the next morning to start the return. On the contrary, we can depart from Hoyos del Espino, climb the Almanzor and go back down the same day.

Furthermore, this trip can be combined with another exciting climbing program in the area. After or before the Almanzor, we can go for some rock climbing in the needles of Los Galayos in this 2-day alpine adventure.

Don't wait any longer and get in touch with me. Let's plan your next trip in the Central System in company of a local mountain guide who knows the region better than anyone!

Mountain Guide

UIAGM/IFMGA Mountain Guide from Spain

I´ve climbed the most classical peaks in my country and in the Alps, and participated in trips and expeditions to iconic mountaineering destinations, such as Patagonia, the Himalayas, Yosemite, the Andes, Caucasus, Greenland, Africa and Alaska.

I’m happy cause I achieved what I always dreamed of as a child, and thought it was impossible: to live by and for the mountains.

I like to guide clients all around the world, but also to teach and work as an instructor, offering climbing and mountaineering courses.

I’m the former Director of Studies of Benasque’s Mountaineering School, and I’m now the Technical Director of Gredos Alpine School.

Starting as Guide assistant y ended up forming professional mountaineers. And in between, many years of routes, walls, summits, and thousands of kilometers to achieve the highest mountain guide certification, and make my dream come true.
