The mountains and valleys surrounding the Santiago Basin of Central Chile are the ideal spot for a backcountry skiing adventure!
Over the course of our one or more days together, we can explore any of La Parva, Termas de Chillán, Portillo, Valle Nevado and Farellones, among other spots. We will even have the opportunity to stay overnight at a mountain hut in Valle Las Arenas.
There is nothing quite like heading out into the backcountry to enjoy the sublime views of Central Chile. Each of these areas will give us the option to see some different scenery and make some great runs too.
All of these areas have high-quality powder, and there are plenty of itineraries for backcountry skiers of every level. Choose the spot that you like, and I will be happy to show you this beautiful country and the excellent skiing it offers.
My team of guides and I will provide you with snowmobiles to move among the valleys and glaciers. This gives us the opportunity to cover more ground than on skis alone and will let us make many amazing runs over the course of our time together.
We will also have the option to ice climb, if that interests you as well.
So what are you waiting for? Book now for this fun and incredibly scenic 1+ day backcountry skiing experience in Central Chile!
If you like the look of this trip, then I think you will also enjoy my one-day backcountry splitboarding trip also in Central Chile!

UIAGM/IFMGA Mountain Guide from Chile
Mountain guide and instructor from the Chilean Andinism Federation (FEACH) and certified Wilderness First Responder.
I’ve opened several climbing routes in Chile, and was one of the first and very few Chileans to summit Cerro Torre, Fitz Roy, Paine Grande and Torres del Paine.
I climbed almost all the technical mountain in Cajón del Maipo, in Central Chile, and did some of the most important routes in Yosemite, Indian Creek and Patagonia.
And regarding ski mountaineering, I skied down Mount Illimani and Huayna Potosí in Bolivia, and Cerro Castillo, Morado Norte and Sur in Chile.
Stay up-to-date on the best adventures.
