Join one of our certified guides on a two-day ski mountaineering trip with virgin snow and clear runs on Volcano Lanin.
Combine mountaineering and skiing on this awesome 2-day trip
Enjoy virgin snow and uninterrupted runs as you coast down the mountain
Take in spectacular views of Argentina and Chile from the summit
Join us for the ultimate ski or snowboard experience as we ascend Volcano Lanín. This volcano sits across both Argentina and Chile, and at an altitude of 3,776 metres is one of the highest mountains in the region’s “ring of fire”. First, we’ll climb the mountain, then we’ll spend hours coasting down it, enjoying the virgin snow.
What to expect
The terrain is varied and steep on the mountain. We’ll spend our first day climbing and hiking across rock, ice and snow before stopping to camp for the night in a mountain hut.
The next day we’ll continue to the summit and the climb will get even steeper. It will all be worth it though. Once we’re at the summit we’ll take a breather to enjoy breathtaking views of Chile, Argentina and the other mountains and lakes in the area.
Then we get to the really fun part: hours of skiing and snowboarding down the face of a volcano.
The slopes are pretty steep at first, so it’s not for the faint-hearted. But, once we get going we’ll enjoy virgin snow with runs that last for over 1,000 metres.
Don’t miss out of this awesome chance to ski or snowboard down a volcano. Request to book now and join us in the mountains.

We'll meet at Mawida Adventures agency.
Our first day begins at 6.30am as we drive to the base of the volcano. From there we’ll begin our climb up Lanín. We’ll climb for over 2000 metres before reaching some mountain huts where we’ll eat and spend the night.
We’ll wake up early on day two and finish the climb to the summit. After admiring the amazing views from the top, we’ll start our descent down with hours of skiing or snowboarding. When we reach the bottom we’ll drive back to Pucón, finishing the day at approximately 6.00pm.
