On this 2-day adventure, I will take you to some of the best sandstone crags near Peñas. The area offers options for both beginners and advanced climbers, and we will choose our routes depending on your preferences and level.
We will set off on day 1 from La Paz and enjoy some of the local culture when we arrive at Peñas before a delicious local lunch and an afternoon on the rocks. Then, the next day, we will visit Placa del Aguilas, one of the top spots for rock climbing in Peñas, and spend the day exploring the great routes there. You can find a detailed itinerary below.
Please keep in mind that the crags we will visit are 4000 mts. above sea level. Therefore, you will need some acclimatization prior to your Bolivia rock climbing adventure. Of course, I will be there to help and guide you on the way, and to share my passion for climbing in this beautiful region.
So, are you ready for a unique rock climbing adventure in Bolivia? Then contact me now and let’s start planning an unforgettable 2-day trip to Peñas!
Or, if you prefer, you can join me on a longer 7-day mountain climbing adventure in Bolivia!

Aspirant Guide
My name is Davide. I grew up in Belgium and started climbing as a child because my mother used to hide the chocolate on the highest shelf.
I've been living, traveling and climbing in Bolivia since 2009. I enjoy high, famous mountains such as Illimani and Ancohuma but also have fun on smaller, remote mountains: Jaqusiri, Warawarani among others...
Having noticed big rocks in my backyard in Peñas, I started bolting them with some friends. Now the village has more than 100 climbing routes.
Working as a guide I like to offer my clients an original and safe experience, combining a strong knowledge of the Royal Range with special cultural visits.
