Formiga is the most representative canyon of Sierra de Guara, in Huesca, Spain. On this tour we will enjoy an amazing canyoning and rappelling adventure surrounded by unique landscapes. Come and join me!
Located on the southern foothills of the Pyrenees, Sierra de Guara is probably the the most famous canyoning area in the world. It is even said that this sport was born there. The massif hosts the most beautiful European canyons, with sumptuous limestone narrows, translucent turquoise waters, and generous sunshine.
Canyoning in Formiga lets you try all the different activities that make activity so amazing including abseils, slides, jumps and siphons (water tunnels where we must submerge to cross). The first section involves a 7-meter rappel and a 5-meter slide. The second, is a very playful sequence of waterfalls and pools.
Furthermore, this outing is suitable for all levels. So you can bring your children with you if they can swim. You will all learn the basic canyoning skills under expert guidance!
So, if you are up for this canyoning and rappelling experience in one of the classic spots in Sierra de Guara, please contact me. The Formiga will grant you a complete and exhilarating adventure!
I can also take you to other canyons in the area such as Peonera, Oscuros de Balced, and Vero River, among others. We can make a multi-day trip and explore the entire Sierra de Gredos!

I've been having a strong passion for outdoor sports for over 15 years. In the last 5 years, I've been working as a professional guide specialized in climbing and canyoning. My favourite is rock climbing, it doesn't matter the style (sport, trad, dws, bouldes, single or multipitch routes) the importat thing is climb high. As a native Mallorcan, Psicobloc or Deep Water Soloing, is in his genes. While he has a deep appreciation for the crags of Mallorca, Catalonia and Aragon, he has also climbed in Morocco, Turkey, Italy, France, Slovenia, Croatia, Tajikistan and China.

Absolutely loved my climbing trip guided by Carlos Vidal. He is legend, real professional, very knowledgeable, super focused, and I felt super safe on the walls. Everything was excellent. I had great adventure and fun. He always made sure he explained every step and everything I need to know very carefully and that we have good communication. It was my first ever trip outdoor climbing and I have levelled up my skills so quickly. I would recommend Carlos to anyone, and definitely I will be back to climb with him in future :)

Carlos was an excellent guide for the Cala Moli Via Ferrata. He did a great job ensuring we were safe, while allowing the space to explore and enjoy the route. He is extremely knowledgeable about climbing, and knew when to step in a lend a hand (or knee). The route itself is stunning, and I can't recommend it enough to others. Additionally, going in a private group with Carlos was well worth the slightly higher costs than the tours with 10+ people because it allowed for dedicated help, and not to mention - he took some wonderful photos for us. I can't wait to return, so we can do another climbing adventure with Carlos.

We thought we had arranged a trip with a guide but we got Carlos who was amazing. He greatly focused on safety and managed to challenge and grow all (to adults and 2 children at 14 and 11) at the same time and in a way which made the day truly awesome

Had a great day climbing with Carlos. He's knowledgeable about, and devoted to, the sport. I only had a single day during my trip to Spain to climb and was looking to get on some of the best sport routes in the area - and Carlos did not disappoint. As a guide he was skilled and safe, ensuring that we had a shared understanding of the safety systems. As a climbing partner he was insightful in recommending routes, providing beta, and the softest of catches. We chatted the whole time about the sport and the industry and the various features of routes. Highly recommend Carlos as a climbing guide if you're in the Barcelona area and I will definitely look him up again next time I'm in Spain without a belay.

Carlos is an excellent guide. He taught and helped us move up in skill. Carlos suggested multiple crags and what he thought would be appropriate and fun for us. Explore share was an easy company schedule our adventure. The website itself was a bit difficult to manage at the final point of booking . Otherwise I would given 5s all around. Thanks for a great event.
Stay up-to-date on the best adventures.
