Description

Mt. Kazbek being 5054m is the third highest mountain in Georgia and one of the most emblematic peaks of the Caucasus mountains. On this 6-day ascent, we will climb to the summit of this gorgeous peak.

On this Kazbek tour, you will be picked up at the airport at the start and dropped back off at the end. From there, we will head to Stepantsminds where our climbing begins. We will go at a steady pace to slowly acclimatize and spend the night in different huts along the way until day 4, which will be our summit day. Furthermore, we will have one reserve day in case we encounter bad weather on the way to the top. The summit will be a wonderful reward that will gift us incredible views of the entire Caucasus range.

If you would like to join this exciting Mount Kazbek climb, please keep in mind that you will need to be physically fit. The hardest and longest day of the climb will be the summit day. You will be expected to hike 1.5 vertical kilometers and around 15 kilometers in total. The approximate time of hiking on the summit day is around 12 hours. Technically, Kazbek is not a difficult ascent, so all levels can join. If you have any questions about the intensity of the ascent, please don't hesitate to contact us.

Get ready for a wild adventure in the Caucasus! Send us a message today, and we can start planning your Mount Kazbek climb together!

Thank you explore-share for a wonderful via feratta experience. We have been wanting to learn for a long time but don't have the facilities in Scotland. The guide Mitja was extremely helpful and knowledgeable, answering all my many questions and providing advice. On the day head to take another group but he quickly arranged another guide Borut, who was brilliant. We had a fantastic morning learning via ferrata at Hvadnik in the gorge. It gave us the confidence to later hire our own equipment and go out in Mojstrana. Altogether a five star + experience. Thank you.
