Description

Mont Perdu / Monte Perdido (3355 m) is the legendary mountain in the Pyrenees, the third highest summit of this beautiful range. It is located in an unique environment of beauty: glacial cirques of Gavarnie, Troumouse and Estaubé, splendid canyons of Ordesa, Niscle and Escuain…

The landscapes you'll get to see here will remain forever etched in your memory! In addition, the ascent is relatively easy and worth it to be combined with a hike in the area.

I propose the following 3-day program which will bring us to the top of Mont Perdu at 3355 m. We will get the chance to enjoy breathtaking panoramas over the French and Spanish Pyrenees.

Day 1
We will meet in the evening in Torla, have dinner and spend the night at the 2* hotel.

Day 2
Early breakfast and walk up through Cirque de Salarons until the Faja de las Flores. This is a beautiful path often called "The most beautiful trail in the world". We will then continue our way to the Góriz Refuge, where we have dinner and spend the night.

Day 3
Early departure after breakfast and ascent of Mont Perdu. Descent through the normal route via the Frozen Lake (Lac Gelé) to the refuge and then return to the parking in Ordesa.

I can also guide you in the climb of the Aneto or the Posets, the other highest summits of the Pyrenees.

I can of course adapt this program based on your wishes and the time you have here. Please contact me and let’s discuss about what you would like to do. It will be my pleasure to bring your there, guide you on these fantastic paths and share with you some insights about my region, culture…

A HUGE thank you for all your help in the build up to our Monte Perdido attempt yesterday! Our guide Luis (from Javier's team) was absolutely brilliant and helped us reach the summit unscathed (despite the snowy conditions - which were apparently not ideal for amateurs!).
